When acne demands more attention than you'd like

Looking after yourself, naturally!

One more look in the mirror before you head out the door. Tilting your face just so for a photo. Or being distracted in a conversation by that red spot on your cheek.

Sound familiar? With a little camouflage, you can make a spot less noticeable and feel better about what you see. You choose how much of your skin you want to show.

Make-up for men? It's simply your choice. Just as you style your hair or look after your beard, you can give your complexion a little attention too.

What do you recognise?

What would you rather not think about?

Every man has his own reason for covering something up. Perhaps you recognise one of these moments.

Acne and spots

It's always on the day of an appointment or a photo that a red spot shows up. Foundation in your skin tone can make the colour less noticeable. Your natural skin texture remains part of the result.

Redness and blemishes

Your cheeks or nose stand out in the mirror or on camera. With targeted colour correction and a thin layer of foundation, you can make your complexion look visibly calmer.

Dark circles and shine

You feel fine, but in a photo all you see is dark circles or a shiny forehead. For dark, blue-purple circles, you can work in a targeted way with Colour Corrector Just Peachy. A finishing powder helps to reduce shine in specific areas.

The doubt of the first time

Will other people notice I'm wearing make-up?

That doubt is understandable when you're trying it for the first time. The fine minerals blend with your natural skin oils. This gives the powder a soft finish that melts into your skin, while camouflaging redness and uneven colour.

With a shade that matches your skin tone and a thin layer, the make-up can be barely visible. What you mainly see is a more even complexion. Build up the coverage gently and check the result in daylight.

Even if you've never held a brush before, it's easy to get started. We'll help you with the colour and show you step by step how much to use.

Your first step

Start with your skin tone and a brush.

Here, foundation is a loose mineral powder in your skin tone. You apply it thinly with a brush to the areas you want to even out. The powder blends with your natural skin oils, so the coverage looks soft and natural. The green corrector is an optional extra for localised redness.

Try it first at a time when you can look calmly. That way you'll discover how much powder feels right for you.

02 · Correct locally

Give a red spot some attention

Want to correct redness a little more? Apply a very small amount of Concealer Green to that spot and blend the edges softly. You can also start straight away with foundation.

03 · Even out thinly

Take less than you think

Sprinkle some foundation into the lid, pick it up with your brush and tap off the excess. Spread the powder with soft, circular movements. This lets the minerals blend with your natural skin oils. Only add a little more where needed for extra coverage.

04 · Check

Look at yourself in daylight

Take a step back from the mirror. Check whether the colour matches and the transitions are soft. Check your jawline and any facial hair too. Remove visible powder from the hairs with a clean brush.

Which foundation colour suits you?

Answer a few short questions about your skin tone and undertone. Discover possible colours, then compare them at your own pace on your own skin.

Stap 1 van 3

Jouw kleurmatch

Only where you feel you need it

A red spot or dark circles? Work in a targeted way.

Concealer Green helps to visibly correct redness. Use a small amount before applying foundation in your own skin tone.

For dark, blue-purple circles, we recommend Colour Corrector Just Peachy. This peach shade camouflages the discolouration and has been developed for medium to dark skin. Apply a thin layer, blend the edges softly, then use a skin-toned concealer and your foundation.

Not sure the colour suits you, or using make-up for the first time? Try the Just Peachy Sample first. With concealer samples, you can find out at home which shade and coverage suit you.

How to keep it small
  1. Use green for localised redness.
  2. Choose Just Peachy for blue-purple circles on medium to dark skin.
  3. If in doubt, start with a sample.
  4. Apply sparingly and finish in your own skin tone.

On camera and up close

When it's mainly the shine you notice.

Does your forehead stand out on a video call, or does your nose quickly turn shiny in a photo? You can use a finishing powder on just those areas.

Finishing Touch Milk Matte helps to reduce shine and is intended for light to medium skin with a neutral undertone. Start with a thin layer and feel free to leave dry areas without extra powder.

Coverage that cares about your skin

A calm, well-groomed look.

You want to camouflage a spot and have a formula that feels pleasant. Our mineral foundations give buildable coverage, feel light and are free from fragrance and parabens. This way you can soften redness and uneven colour for a calmer, well-groomed look.

Mica, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and iron oxides contribute to the texture, coverage and colour. The foundations are vegan. The exact composition can differ per shade; you will find the full ingredient list on the product page.

Questions you are welcome to ask

Especially if you're trying this for the first time.

Can you see it in daylight?

The minerals blend with your natural skin oils for a soft finish. With a suitable shade and a thin layer, the make-up can be barely visible while still giving you coverage. Check the colour and transitions by a window.

Can I camouflage just one spot?

Yes. You can soften just the colour difference around a spot and blend the edges. You don't need to cover your whole face.

Will this make-up fix my acne?

Make-up camouflages what you see. It is meant to visibly soften redness and uneven colour, and it does not treat acne.

Does this work with stubble or a beard?

Yes. Use a small amount of powder on the visible skin and check the edge of your beard. Remove powder left on the hairs with a clean brush.

What if my skin is sensitive?

Our mineral foundations are fragrance-free. Check the ingredients of your chosen shade and take into account what your own skin tolerates. Use a product that feels comfortable.

I've never used make-up before. Can I do this myself?

You can start small: a brush and a little powder on one spot. Take the foundation quiz for help with your colour. Then try concealer samples or a foundation test set to discover at home which colour and coverage suit you.

No taboo

Make-up for men. It's simply your choice.

Your skin is allowed to be seen. Even with acne spots, redness, blemishes or lines. If you want to make a spot less noticeable or even out your complexion a little, you can choose to. You don't have to justify that to anyone.

A little powder for an appointment, for a photo, or simply because it makes you feel good that day. You choose what suits you and how much you use.
